I can predict that maybe in 10 years my children (if have them) will see a plastic bag and ask me: "What is it for"? For sure I will be embarrassed to tell them that I used to use it to carry groceries from the supermarket to home and then throw it away in the garbage can. To avoid this answer, I am trying to get better right now. Honestly I still use plastic bags...first because I grown up thinking it was ok and secondly because I always I forget my reusable shopping bag (one from Fresh Market and the other from Publix) home. This following week I will try hard to remember to bring mine and I will share with you how was it. If you don't have your reusable bag yet, you can get one in almost every supermarket in Tampa Bay area like Publix, Fresh Market, Whole Food. They are super cheap. What about the plastic bags that you already have? Give them back to the supermarket...most of them have been colecting it to recycle. Try it = )
I went to Sweetbay this morning I forgot my reusable bag = ( I bought a green one ober there for $ 1,50. Now I will leave this one in my car and the other in the coat rack by the home entrance. ; )
ReplyDeleteAna - FANTASTIC blog! I think what you are doing is wonderful! I use a reusable shopping bag most of the time (when I can remember)! I will try and use them more often now that I have seen your blog! It doesn't take much to make a difference!
